OREANDA-NEWS. IBA Group participated in the Gulf IT and Electronics Exhibition (GITEX) TECHNOLOGY WEEK 2013 held in Dubai, UAE.

GITEX is the annual technology exhibition, trade show, and conference. It is considered to be the largest technology event in the Middle East and one of the most high-profile events in the global ICT sector. This year, GITEX Technology Week hosted more than 3,000 companies from 61 countries. In aggregate, around 139,000 visitors from over 150 countries attended the show. According to the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC), the event's organizers, the 33rd edition of GITEX was the most internationally diverse show, as the number of international exhibitors increased by 26 percent compared to last year.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, visited GITEX 2013. The Dubai Crown Prince called on both public and private sectors to cooperate in turning Dubai into a smart city.

The event showed that the local IT market continues to grow. According to the latest forecast by Gartner, Inc., IT spending in the Middle East is projected to total USD 192.9 billion in 2013, with an increase of 5.5 percent from 2012.

IBA Group participated in GITEX Technology Week for the fifth time. This year, IBA showcased its services in the areas of mobile and enterprise applications, SAP solutions, and business analytics and conducted over 200 meetings with potential customers.
