OREANDA-NEWS. INTERPIPE took part in a session run by the “Innovators' Club”. The session was a theoretical and practical Forum for metallurgists organized by the Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant (Chelyabinsk, Russia).

The first event held by the club was hosted by Interpipe and took place in spring 2013. The event united Russian and Ukrainian pipe producers and experts. This year representatives from Zaporizhstal, Severstal, and Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works joined the Forum.

Participants presented 36 reports and spoke about current challenges and developments in technique and production of pipe production, steel production and organisation production. The “best report” under the “Pipe production” section was awarded to INTERPIPE's representatives Alexey Chyuyev and Alexey Malyshko. The “steel production” section made special mention of the ChTPZ representative Artem Kroye, while the section on “organization of production” commended the Zaporizhstal team for their interesting reports on continuous improvements.

“The participants' reports are of real practical value and significance, and the level of speakers and reports at the Forum continues to grow on from last year, - INTERPIPE General Manager Alexander Kirichko commented. - Here, at the “Innovators' Club”, we are not competitors but partners working on common problems in our industry. The resolution of these tasks enables our joint progress”.

“While organising this Forum we wanted to create a platform where experiences could be shared on the most topical issues in metallurgy, which, in the long run will promote and facilitate the growth and development of our companies. I truly believe that the results from discussions were fantastic and a great step forward”, - ChTPZ Group General Manager Yaroslav Zhdan noted.

In April 2014 Dnipropetrovsk will host the third “Innovators' Club” which will be organized by INTERPIPE
