OREANDA-NEWS. Michael Miller, Logistics services sales director ALIDI Group took part in the II All-Russia training conference “Warehouse Logistics 2014” with a report “Successful experience of warehouse business processes automation”. His report was about prerequisites for WMS Manhattan system integration, about benefits, which the distributor and the clients get from work with the system; about the capability to control the quality of logistics business processes in KPI index, goods handling volumes control and operational expenses on warehouse processes control. He provided an example of using WMS Manhattan system in warehouse business processes automation technologies - test of Pick-by-Voice technology in ALIDI Group logistics centers; and about systems developing plans for the nearest future.

ALIDI always paid much attention to implementing and developing of high-tech systems in the logistics centers work. In 2006 WMS Manhattan system was implemented which let ALIDI show qualitative results of warehouses work. In 2013 ALIDI renewed WMS Manhattan system in the warehouses in Saint-Petersburg, Chekhov and Nizhny Novgorod. Spring 2013 - Pick-by-Voice technology was tested in the warehouse in Chekhov. As a result, ALIDI got high results in “picking accuracy increase” and “employees adjustment period reduce” in comparison with traditional terminal technology. In December 2013 the system will be fully implemented in the warehouses work.

The conference a part of the 20th international exhibition “WAREHOUSE. TRANSPORT. LOGISTICS”. CJSC “Ekspocentr” organized the exhibition; People & Communications agency organized the conference. The speakers' reports were devoted to the topic “Warehouse logistics economy. How to reduce the costs and to increase the company's work effectiveness?”

Annual exhibition “WAREHOUSE. TRANSPORT. LOGISTICS” is a traditional place for professionals meeting, of those people who identify trends of transport-logistics market developing in Russia. The exhibition shown new systems of goods storage and warehouse managing, innovational decisions in warehouse automation, novelties of warehouse equipment, modern technologies of logistics services.

This year there were more than 100 companies from 8 countries: Belarus, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Russia, Turkey and France.
