OREANDA-NEWS.  November 05, 2013. Witnessed by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Cao Peixi, President of China Huaneng Group, and Oleg Deripaska, President and CEO of Russia-based En+ Group, signed a Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The agreement marks the beginning of the two companies’ cooperation in various fields, and will further deepen the bilateral energy strategic cooperation between China and Russia. The agreement is also of great significance for Huaneng to further implement its "go global" strategy and expand its international operations.

This Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement is one of the 20 bilateral cooperation agreements between China and Russia signed during the eighteenth regular meeting between Chinese Premier and Russian Prime Minister. Under the agreement, the two companies will carry out in-depth cooperation in the energy sector.

Liu Yandong, Chairman of the China-Russia Cultural Cooperation Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council of China, Wang Yang, Co-Chairman of the Chinese and Russian Prime Ministers' Regular Meeting Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council of China, Olga Golodets, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, and Dmitry Rogozin, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, attended the event.
