OREANDA-NEWS.  After successful running-in, jaw crusher SchDP 9x12U is shipped to Norilsk Nickel. This is the smallest jaw crusher of the range of sizes produced by Uralmashplant.

The crusher shall be installed in melt department of the nickel producing plant. It is planned that it shall be used for crushing of converter matte which is a semifinished product for foundry.

The new crusher is equipped with the following up-to-date systems: hydraulic system for discharge opening adjustment, automatic grease and oil systems, charging level control system. For example, the new opening adjustment system allows to perform adjustment during 20 or 30 minutes whereas earlier the process took 3 or 4 hours. Automatic lubrication cuts down the share of manual work in the course of maintenance and increases service life of friction parts. The crusher is also furnished with controller-based information system which allows visualization of operational parameters (temperature of bearings, lubricant consumption, power consumption as well as archiving of warning and alarm messages) on a touch screen. All these innovations help ensure higher operational capacity of the crusher, reduce operating costs and enhance safety of works. Besides, special coatings (primer plus enamel) are used for crusher protection in view of sea transportation and corrosive operating atmosphere (presence of sulphuric gas).

Machine of such size is made for the first time since 2007 when production of jaw crushers was renewed. In recent years Uralmashplant already supplied several jaw crushers of larger size (SchDP 15x21U and SchDP 12x15U) to its customers.

The joint-stock company "Uralmashplant" is one of the leaders on the Russian market of equipment for metallurgy, mining industry, oil and gas industry, building materials industry and power engineering industry. The strategy of the company's development aims at creation of a world-class machine-building company, capable to completely fulfill all equipment requirements a customer may have.

At present, with support of the principal shareholder - Gazprombank - Uralmashplant implement a new investment program providing for large-scale modernization of production facilities.
