OREANDA-NEWS. October 07, 2013. Executing a Government Assignment for rendering services, the “Resource-and-Training Centre” Federal State Autonomous Institution of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) (Kazan) organized training on “Developing Competition on the Electric Power Markets”.

The following FAS officers took part in the advanced qualification programme: Deputy Head of the Department for Control over Electric Power Industry, Elena Tsyshevskaya; an Advisor to the Department for Control over Electric Power Industry, Philipp Chirkov; and Head of a Unit, Deputy Head of the Department for Control over Electric Power Industry, Alexei Voronin.

The training programme highlighted such issues as: experience of organizational and legal development of the electric power industry in Russia and the world, global experience of regulating electric power industry, problems of the modern organized market, as well as the prospects of developing competition on electric power markets in Russia and across the globe.

The workshop also covered important issues of developing competition on the electric power markets in the Russian Federation.

Representatives of the Department for Control over Electric Power Industry shared the practice of the Central FAS Office.

“We not only talked about the practice of the Central Office and FAS legislative initiatives but also discussed some pressing issues for the regions. Ultimately it will result in a more efficient work, smooth cooperation and, certainly, encourage friendly relations”, pointed out Elena Tsyshevskaya.
