In the results of the 23rd China News Award the news works of “From the Choice between Life and Death to the Mutual Prosperity with the City---the Practice and Exploration of TISCO in Constructing the Urban Iron and Steel Enterprise” written by Ren Xiaoming, a journalist from Taiyuan Daily, won the third prize.

This is also the only prize-wining news works from the Shanxi paper media. The prize-winning indicates that the green development in TISCO is recognized by all sectors of the society, creates a good public opinion atmosphere for TISCO to construct the urban steel plant and enhances TISCO’s social influence

On Aug. 5, 2012, the report of “From the Choice between Life and Death to the Mutual Prosperity with the City---the Practice and Exploration of TISCO in Constructing the Urban Iron and Steel Enterprise” published on the front page of Taiyuan Daily, around the issues talked by Zhou Shengxian, Minister of Environmental Protection when he inspected TISCO, made the in-depth discussion on TISCO’s great efforts to transform itself from an urban resources intensive consumer to an urban resource provider, and the construction of urban steel plant by upgrading and reconstruction of the equipment, developing of circular economy and assuming more social responsibilities. The report also outlines the development path that TISCO leads the green development of the iron and steel enterprises at home and abroad and changes from the small cycle inside the enterprise to a wide cycle with the city.
