OREANDA-NEWS. For nine months of 2013, OJSC KAMAZ’s proceeds made 77.185 billion roubles (RAS), the net profit exceeded 2.5 billion roubles (RAS).

The Russian Federation is OJSC KAMAZ’s main product market. After 9 months of 2013, the total volume of the Russian market of trucks with GVW of 14-40 tonnes made 57.3 thousand units, which is by 33.4% less than for the same period of 2012. At the same time, KAMAZ made a 10.6% decline in the Russian market having sold 26,611 trucks and assembly kits.

The drop in sales was influenced by reduced investments in the fixed capital, a weaker business activity, a decline in demand for capital goods; a clearance sale of a great amount of vehicles which had been accumulated by the end of 2012, in particular, a clearance sale of imported vehicles; domestic producers’ conversion to the manufacture of Euro 4 vehicles.

After the first nine months of 2013, the share of OJSC KAMAZ in the Russian market of trucks with GVW of 14-40 tonnes made 45.6% (33.8% for the same period last year).

The company is currently developing and certifying a new model range of KAMAZ vehicles. OJSC KAMAZ continues improving usability of KAMAZ trucks, updating the vehicle line and introducing restyled trucks with Cummins engines, ZF gearboxes, updated and cardinally improved cabins to the market. The activity of a commodity distribution network, efficient work with corporate clients and plants producing special equipment, supplies of vehicles against a state order also contribute to the company’s good performance.

Commenting on the accounting statements, Elena Milinova, Deputy Director General of OJSC KAMAZ for Finance, noted, “Thanks to the active work on cost reduction and business efficiency improvement, we managed to maintain high financial results for nine months. Against a market decline of more than 30%, we will continue taking measures to keep our performance till the end of the year.”
