OREANDA-NEWS. The cargo airline Yangtze River Express expands flight programme via Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport from 7 up to 11 weekly flights.

October 21, 2013, NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport began providing handling services of technical stops for Yangtze River Express on the routes Shanghai (Pudong) - Chengdu (Shuangliu) - Novosibirsk - Frankfurt-Hahn and Frankfurt-Hahn - Novosibirsk - Tianjin (Binhai) - Shanghai (Pudong). The airport provides maintenance operations for Yangtze River Express aircraft heading from China to West Europe each Friday and Sunday as well as for return flights - each Monday and Saturday.

New flights are operated on Airbus A330F aircraft with maximum load capacity up to 65 tons of cargo. The technical characteristics and infrastructure of Novosibirsk airport allow to accept flights and provide handling services for this aircraft type.

Flight schedule being increased with four new frequencies, the number of technical stops of Yangtze River Express at Novosibirsk airport makes up 11 flights per week. The other seven weekly flights operated on Boeing 747-400F, proceed with technical stops at NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport on the routes from Shanghai (Pudong) and Chjengzhou (Singchang) airports to Frankfurt-Hahn and Luxembourg.

Attracting tech-stop operations of freight air carriers via Novosibirsk stands for one of the strategic goals of the enterprise. Furthermore, technical stops on these routes enable air carriers to reduce fuel costs.

Yangtze River Express is one of the largest cargo air carriers in China. It is a subsidiary of Hainan Airlines established in 2003. The airline's fleet comprises Boeing 737, Boeing 747 and Airbus A330 cargo modifications. The airline operates to more than 40 domestic and international destinations.
