OREANDA-NEWS. A delegation from Sberbank CIB has taken part in MAPIC, the leading international commercial real estate event, which was held on November 13-15 in the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France. Over the years the exhibition has become a traditional meeting place for real estate developers, retailers, consultants and investors.

Sberbank CIB's delegation included representatives of the Client Management Department, Loans Department and Merchant Banking Department. At the exhibition Sberbank CIB experts took part in a number of events, including those featured in the Russian programme: the presentation of key Russian commercial real estate projects, Russian Connection 2013, which focused on the development of retail in the near future, and the panel discussion "Shopping Malls Developments in Russia: What's New" and others.

Dmitry Kanushkin, Head of the Real Estate Finance Division, Managing Director at Sberbank CIB, commented: "MAPIC is an important industry event that is attended by the major commercial real estate market players from all over the world. In Russia this type of real estate is attracting more and more attention and investment in the sector is growing confidently. We take part in the exhibition every year and endeavour to share our expertise, develop new relationships with clients and strengthen existing ones."

During the event Sberbank announced a real estate sector deal - financing was organised for international group Renaissance. A 10-year credit line worth EUR 150 mln was opened for the group.

At the event Sberbank presented its own stand titled "We Build the Future"; the stand's design integrated the main real estate properties that the bank has financed. At the stand Sberbank CIB representatives actively conducted negotiations with real estate market companies and invited guests to sample specially made fresh fruit cocktails and snacks from Sberbank's Green Bar.

MAPIC is an international exhibition of commercial real estate and retail chains and a key event for real estate industry specialists. This market of real estate projects is a forum for creating business relationships, forming partnerships and focusing on the development of the industry and its main trends. MAPIC is annually attended by over 8,000 delegates from 70 countries.
