OREANDA-NEWS.  November 22, 2013. In 2014, Ukraine will focus on the implementation of all the provisions of the FTA in the CIS during its chairmanship in the Commonwealth of Independent State.

This was started by Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, in St. Petersburg during a joint press conference with the heads of government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev and Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich.

"We will focus on the implementation of all the provisions of the Agreement on the free trade area in the CIS – it is very important, that is why we will work and offer the mechanisms that we have not fully implemented yet," Mykola Azarov said.

He stressed that it comes, in particular, about the Agreement on free access to pipeline transportation, on the gradual reduction and canceling export duties in trade and settlement of issues in export procurement.

"It is also necessary to focus on the preparation of the FTA in services. This would make the CIS a unique area in terms of the functioning of such fundamental agreements," Mykola Azarov emphasized.
