OREANDA-NEWS. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company paid out reinsurance indemnity in the amount of USD 1 m on account of full constructive loss of Let-410 aircraft.

On February 28, 2013, when approaching Airport Wau (South Sudan), Let-410 aircraft owned by Heli Air Services made a hard landing resulting in a destruction of the nose landing gear and subsequent inflammation of the aircraft. The aircraft was carrying out the flight under the UNO humanitarian and peacemaking mission. Damages to the aircraft were qualified as full constructive loss.

Air hull insurance risks were reinsured with Ingosstrakh Insurance Company which, as provided for by the reinsurance agreement with BULSTRAD Vienna Insurance Group, fulfilled payment of the reinsurance indemnity of USD 1 m.
