OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 November 2013 an award ceremony was held to announce the winners of “The Corporate Philanthropy Leaders”, an annual research project arranged by the Donors Forum nonprofit partnership of grant making organizations, the newspaper “Vedomosti”, and the international auditing and consulting network PwC.

Corporate Philanthropy Leaders is a unique Russian research project wholly focused on the support, development and promotion of corporate philanthropy ideas. The results of the research highlight its leaders, that is, the entities with system-wide approach to philanthropy issues. The successful philanthropy programs contestants are named by the nominating partners. The aim of the project is to identify the best corporate philanthropy programs and to disseminate information which would draw the attention of the public, business community, authorities, and mass media to Russian corporate philanthropy initiatives.

The 2013 study included major Russian market players with a joint 2012 turnover exceeding RUR 100m, performing their charity activities in the Russian Federation.

This year, the contest has gathered the record number of applications since the start of the project, as many as 63 companies having disclosed the arrangement and functioning of their charitable endowments. Deutsche Bank ranks tenth in the general rating, and specifically sector-wise, it ranks third among the financial institutions.
