OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich has voiced an appeal to establish joint transnational corporations in the framework of the Customs Union (CU).

“Without joint companies there will never be equality in the Customs Union,” Myasnikovich told Belarusian parliamentarians on Friday. “We produce BelAZ trucks, a variety of models. Russia decides to assemble KamAZ trucks. They introduce a recycling fee for Belarus, and this is where our problems begin,” Myasnikovich said. In his opinion, it is bad idea to create competition inside the Customs Union. A short while ago Belarus sought to purchase Russia's Rosselmash, however the director of the Russian company would not approve of the idea. “Belarus' Gomselmash produces harvesters of a higher quality, and we wanted to start a joint company, but our proposal fell on deaf ears,” the premier said.

At the same time, he mentioned a few positive examples: the progress in establishing joint ventures at the premises of Belarus' Integral and Peleng with Russia's Rostekhnologii.
