OREANDA-NEWS.  In October 2013, Latvian airline airBaltic carried 235,855 passengers throughout its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East. During the first ten months of 2013, airBaltic has transported a total of 2,458,635 passengers.

In October the airline operated 3,898 flights, or 6% less than in the same period of 2012, when 4,141 flight have been operated by airBaltic. During the first ten months of 2013 the airline operated 38,689 flights.

The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, in October 2013 stood at a level of 68%.

During the last months airBaltic has remained a high The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator and it reached a level of 91,67% in October 2013. This means that 91 of every 100 airBaltic flights in September departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.

As announced recently, airBaltic has achieved a net profit of EUR +13.2 million in the third quarter of 2013. airBaltic has by far surpassed its original plans and turned around last year’s loss of EUR -26.72 million into a net profit of EUR +0.72 million in the nine months Jan-Sept 2013.
