OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2013. As it was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, the negative trade balance of Moldova for 10 months of this year amounted to 43.7% vs. 41.6% at the same period of 2012.

The volume of Moldovan exports in January-October 2013 amounted to USD 1 billion 944,2 million, increasing by 10.6% in comparison with the same period of 2012, while imports grew by 5.2% - up to USD 4 billion 450,9 million.

According to NBS, exports of domestic goods for 10 months of 2013 amounted to USD 1 billion 306,5 million (67.2% of the total volume), increasing by 18.9% as compared with the same period of 2012. Re-export of goods in the period amounted to USD 637,7 million, or 32.8% of the total exports. As compared with the same period of the last year, re-export of goods for 10 months of 2013 decreased by 3.4%.

Moldovan exports to CIS countries in January-October 2013 increased by 0.9% - up to USD 768,9 million, to EU countries- by 10.8%- up to USD 907 million and to other states- by 51%- up to USD 268,3 million. The share of CIS countries in the total volume of Moldavian export has decreased from 43.3% to 39.5% and the share of EU states increased from 46.6% to 46.7%. The share of other countries grew from 10.1% to 13.8%.

According to NBS, in January-October 2013 Moldova has increased imports from CIS countries by 3,3% - up to USD 1 billion 349,2 million, from the EU states- by 6% - up to USD 2 billion 003,3 million, from other states– by 6,1% - up to USD 1 billion 098,4 million. The share of CIS countries in the total Moldovan imports decreased from 30.8% to 30.3%, the share of EU countries grew from 44.7% to 45%, from the other states-from 24.5% to 24.7%, respectively.

The largest trade deficit of Moldova for this period accounted for: Ukraine - USD 429,2 million (+9.2% in comparison with the same period of 2012), followed by China - USD 383,7 million (+18,1%), Germany- USD 234,1 million (-9,3%), Romania - USD 233.6 million (+4%), Turkey - \\$201.2 million (-26,7%), Italy - USD 134,2 million. (+42%), Austria - USD 92.4 million (+8,6%), Belarus - USD 81.6 million (-10,9%), Russia- USD 80.3 million (-3,1%) and Hungary - \\$69.1 million (+38.5%).
