OREANDA-NEWS. On 5 December 2013 the SPIBA (St Petersburg International Business Association) Annual Meeting “Overview of the Russian and world economies: current trends” took place in the Rossi hall of the Hermitage Hotel.

At the meeting the association distinguished the best of the best in 2013 with awards. Isaac Sheps, President of Baltika Breweries, Senior Vice President for Eastern Europe, Carlsberg Group, was awarded as SPIBA Expert-2013 in quality management.

Isaac Sheps is a recognized quality expert. For the last 18 years he has been a member of the international committee ISO/TC 176 responsible for ISO 9000 standards development.

The meeting was attended by representatives of companies - SPIBA members, CEOs, general directors, and heads of departments, including Maxim Oreshkin, Director of the long-term strategic planning department at the Russian Ministry of Finance. The participants discussed current and projected trends in the global economy, as well as trends for the next six months in the Russian economy and the policy of the Ministry of Finance for 2014.

SPIBA also presented the results of 2013 and the budget of the association for 2014.
