OREANDA-NEWS. December 25, 2013. Cargo carriers of all kinds transported 1 million 560.6 thousand tons in November, 2013, 2.6% down as compared with the previous month and 12.2% up as compared with last November, InfoMarket was said to at the National Bureau of Statistics.

The volume of railway transportation increased 27.5% to 4 million 930.4 thousand tons within January-November, 2013. The biggest share in a total amount of cargo loaded at railway stations of Moldova fell on crops and flour production and made up 41.9% against 24.6% in January-November, 2012; it was followed by ferrous metal and scrap metal (15.3% against 24.7%) and building materials and cement (12% against 24.6%).

An amount of motor car cargo transportation in Moldova increased by 20% to 7 million 354.7 thousand tons in January-November, 2013. Biggest amounts of cargo were transported by hauliers of Chisinau, making 50.2%.

Then followed Balti (7.4%), regions of Singera (8.2%), Floresti (5.3%), Nisporeni (4.5%), Orhei (3.7%), Ialoveni (3.4%), Straseni (2.7%), Anenii Noi (2.6%), Taraclia (1.8%), Riscani (1.7%), Soroca (1.5%), Rezina (1.3%), and Edinet (1.2%).

Within 11 months of 2013 river cargo transportation increased 12% to 151.2 thousand tons, air cargo transportation declining 16.8% to 1.2 thousand tons.
