OREANDA-NEWS. December 26, 2013. In 2014 Ukraine intends to completely resume trade and economic relations with the Russian Federation and reach the level of trade turnover of 2011. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov stated during his meeting with the Head of Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.

“In 2014 we intend to resume our trade and economic relations with the Russian Federation and reach the new level, at least of 2011. It is of extreme importance for us, as it means working places, revenues of the budget. What was agreed by the Presidents must be realized by us at the level of governments,” Mykola Azarov said.

“We must rehabilitate what has been lost in recent time unfortunately,” the Head of Government of the Russian Federation noted. At this he emphasized that for the first time for the post-Soviet history the trade and economic relations of Russia with Belarus had entered the first place outpacing Ukraine.

“It is important for us to resume trade, economic and investment cooperation as well,” Dmitry Medvedev said.
