OREANDA-NEWS. December 27, 2013. In 2014, Ukraine will continue modernization. It was stated by the President at the meeting with candidates for the posts of DSA Heads.

"We will continue to go this way. We will conduct a comprehensive modernization," the Head of State said.

At the same time, according to the President, the implementation of reforms depends on funding.
"The more money we have, the faster we will conduct the reforms," the Head of State noted.

Viktor Yanukovych emphasized that the government was planning to build 5 perinatal centers in the first half of 2014. Thus, their quantity will reach 17. According to the President, due to the work of perinatal centers, the rates of infant and maternal mortality have decreased.

The President stressed that ambulance reform would also be continued.

"The vehicles operating today are much better equipped. They have all the necessary drugs and their doctors are much better trained," Viktor Yanukovych said adding that the state was working over the creation of motivations for the future doctors.

"Unfortunately, there is a lack of doctors today. They must be additionally trained. We are creating motivations for them," the Head of State emphasized.

Speaking of road management, Viktor Yanukovych stressed that in 2014, particular attention would be paid to the construction of local roads. According to the President, more funds would be allocated for that end than in the previous year.

The Head of State informed that it was planned to increase the funding of regional development in 2014.
