OREANDA-NEWS. December 30, 2013. The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan prioritized launch of the up to modern standards IT structure, creation and permanent improvement of automated information systems, as well as integration of existing information resources to other systems.

To realize the target, the Central Bank, for the first time in the country, successfully introduced the newest release of Temenos – R – 13 in order to modernize Temenos T-24 software and hardware. Although the project’s implementation period was supposed to last one year, Temenos T-24 was upgraded and put into operation within six months.

While realizing the project, the Bank re-launched the system, operational, accounting and management modules were improved, and the system maintained ongoing performance in the information system of work stations, located in external public institutions (the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Financial Monitoring Service under the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Mortgage Fund under the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Baku Interbank Currency Exchange, the Baku Stock Exchange, the National Depository Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund, and the MilliCard Processing Center) given new functional capacity of the Temenos T-24.
