OREANDA-NEWS. December 30, 2013. The National Economic Research Institute projects GDP to grow 9% in 2013, the Vice-premier briefed to journalists.

“To my mind, GDP will increase by 8% or 9%. This year, the agriculture of Moldova both: covered losses of 2012 and showed progress. Besides, there have been some structural changes. Investment into infrastructure has just brought first fruits. We are giving special attention to the enhancement of competitiveness”, Valeriu Lazar said.

As for projections for 2014, the economy Minister said the rate of growth of the economy is not expected to be so fast, making about 4% only.
