OREANDA-NEWS. December 30, 2013. Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov visited the Reference Center of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, where he held a meeting with the heads of central state bodies, national companies and trade associations.

The meeting discussed the development of the system of technical regulation and metrology of Kazakhstan in the deepening of integration processes within the Customs Union and Single Economic Space. They also considered ways to improve the quality of domestic products and the proportion of local content.

Following the meeting, the Prime Minister instructed to "form the roadmap for further modernization and development of the system of technical regulation and metrology."

In this regard, Akhmetov instructed the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies and other concerned government agencies to submit the draft roadmap for consideration of the Government within a month.

The Prime Minister also gave a number of instructions to other state agencies and "Atameken" Union.

During his visit to the Reference Center Akhmetov familiarized with the laboratory work and the single state fund of normative and technical documentation.
