OREANDA-NEWS. The decision on providing Belarus with the sixth tranche of the EurAsEC standby credit may be postponed till Q1 2014.

Chief of the National Bank of Belarus (NBB) Nadezhda Yermakova told an online press conference held by Belta on Wednesday.

Belarus had planned to get the last USD 440 million tranche of the EurAsEC standby loan by the end of 2013, however the session of the EurAsEC Anticrisis Fund Council scheduled for 10 December was postponed till further notice. This means that the decision on the last tranche will be taken somewhere in Q1 2014.

The EurAsEC AntiCrisis Fund decided in June 2011 to provide Belarus with a stabilizing loan of U.S. USD 3 billion. Minsk has already received five tranches, totalling USD 2.56 billion.
