OREANDA-NEWS. The Belarusian authorities hope to take out loans from Russia and China in 2014, Finance Minister Andrei Kharkovets said on Monday.

“We are working with our core partners, Russia and China, in this respect now. These are two countries that we proactively cooperate with,” he said.

Belarus may take out loans from a wider range of creditors if it decides to borrow funds for large investment projects, he said.

Belarus will repay U.S. USD 3.2 billion of its foreign debt in 2014, partially with funds raised through sale of Eurobonds.
