OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' Zhlobin-based Metallurgical Plant (BMZ) plans to increase exports of round steel bars in December 2013 to 13,000 tonnes, a company representative told.

BMZ keeps making efforts to grow metal exports to Europe. Europe-bound exports of round steel bars are expected to growth from 4-5 thousand tonnes per month on average to 13,000 tonnes in December. Italy and Germany are viewed as the most promising markets for BMZ metal products.

BMZ views FIAT, IVEKO, SIEMENS, BOSCH, ZF as potential consumers of its products.

State-owned company Belarusian Metallurgical Plant was launched in 1984. BMZ exports about 85% of its output. In Jan-Sep 2013 BMZ products were exported to the EU, Russia, the Middle East, Ukraine, the United States, Africa, South Africa. The EU, the Middle East and Russia account for 86.6% of the BMZ's total exports.
