OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus is reintroducing the duty on potash export in 2014, said Belarus' Finance Minister Andrei Kharkovets, while presenting the budget bill to the parliament on Thursday.

The potash export duty was cancelled in early September this year to keep the country's potash manufacturer Belaruskali afloat after Russia's Uralkali chose with withdraw from the potash export cartel.

The budget bill is based on the assumption that Belaruskali will be able to export 6.6 million tonnes of potash in 2014. The potash export duty is set at USD 60 per tonne.
