OREANDA-NEWS. Kirovsky Zavod has donated a Kirovets K-9430 tractor to Kursk State Agricultural Academy. The next-generation tractor will be used by the higher educational institution to provide a training aid for engineering students.

An advanced high-power K-9000 series Kirovets tractor equipped with a 430 HP engine was delivered to Kursk State Agricultural Academy, named after Professor I.I. Ivanov. This recent engineering development by the St. Petersburg Tractor Plant (a subsidiary of the Kirov Group) will be used in the teaching and training process at the academy's department of engineering science.

The vehicle donated to the educational institution is a generation six (the newest model) large high-power AWD articulated frame tractor of the 'Kirovets' family. K-9000 series tractors combine the advantages of the previous Kirovets generations - high performance and simple yet robust design - with an ability to integrate with various modules and a number of the latest high-technology developments and innovative solutions. Use of the vehicle will not only help engineering students perform a detailed study of the most popular Russian high-power tractor and its classic design, but will also show them the latest technological advances of the international agricultural engineering industry.

The tractor was delivered to Kursk State Agricultural Academy as had been agreed with the Kursk Region Governor, Aleksandr Mikhailov, when he visited Kirovsky Zavod in January 2013. In his speech on the provision of the Kirovets tractor to the Kursk State Agricultural Academy, the Governor emphasised that it “will allow future specialists in agriculture to study vehicles and equipment produced by Kirovsky Zavod in detail, and will contribute to effective use of these vehicles for farming the land in Kursk Region”.
