OREANDA-NEWS. The Belarusian government has adopted alcohol output quotas for 2014 by resolution #1132 of the Council of Ministers.

The annual output quota on vodka and other hard drinks has been reduced 22% from the 2013 level to 15.145 million decaliters, cognac [a type of brandy] - down 1% to 458,000 dal, grape wine - down 41.8% to 2.15 million decaliters.

The quota on production of rum reduced 13.3% to 13,000 dal, calvados.

The annual quota on production of improved quality fortified wines has been decreased by 0.25% to 15.464 million decaliters, whiskey - down 21.1% to 101,000 dal.

The natural fruit-and-berry wine output quota has been set at 293,000 decaliters, down 11.2%.

The quota on “champagne” and other sparkling wines has been raised 13.4% to 2.15 million decaliters, tequila - up 90% to 15,000 dal, distilled calvados - up 66.7% to 25,000 dal, calvados - up twofold to 10,000 dal.

The original grape wine production quota has been left unchanged at 5,000 decalitres.

Non-food alcohol output is expected to amount to 1.3 million decaliters in 2014, unchanged year-on-year, and the production of antiseptic pharmaceuticals categorized as non-food alcohol-containing products will reach 97,800 decaliters, up 20.5%.

The quota on fruit vodka is set at 10,000 dal, fruit brandy - 7,000 dal.
