OREANDA-NEWS. January 14, 2014. Uzbekistan’s tourist industry is directly linked to the development of air travel both on international as well as domestic routes.

The presentation included general information about Uzbekistan Airways being the largest air carrier in Central Asia with modern aircraft fleet and a high level of flight safety.

The participants in the presentation learned about proposals focusing on the increase of passenger flow such as discount air travel tariffs and the opening of new routes, including Volgograd- Urgench-Volgograd. Apart from information for tourists and services offered by the national flag-bearer, the presentation also covered the company’s potential as a cargo carrier.

The visitors to the event demonstrated their interest in the further expansion and intensification of collaboration with Uzbek partners not only in the field of tourism and marketing but also in establishing of an air transportation network in the interests of foreign tour-operators and large businesses.

An exhibition presenting the tourist, recreational and investment potential of Uzbekistan was held at the event. It also demonstrated the wide-scale reforms as well as the rich cultural and historical heritage and unique features of our country. The event was attended by 35 travel agencies, the administration of the Volgograd Airport and representatives of local businesses and mass media.
