OREANDA-NEWS.  January 17, 2014. This is stated in the World Bank’s January Global Economic Prospects 2014, which analyzes global economic prospects. In 2015 and in 2016, GDP of Moldova is expected to grow by 4%, WB experts say.

It should be reminded that the Economy Ministry had raised GDP growth projection for 2013 from 4% to 5.5% and predicted the 2014 economic growth by 4%. Later, Vice-premier, Minister of Economy of Moldova Valeriu Lazar projected that in 2013 Moldova’s GDP would grow by 8% or 9%.

Earlier, EBRD revised Moldova’s GDP growth projection for 2013 up by 1 p.p. from 2.5% to 3.5%; the European Investment Bank did it down for 2014 by 0.5 p.p. from 4% to 3.5%. According to official statistics, in January-September 2013, GDP of Moldova increased by 8% to MDL 73 billion 312 million. Statistics on the evolution of GDP of Moldova in 2013 have not been announced yet.
