OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2014. The Government plans to increase bilateral trade turnover and volumes of mutual investments with the Russian Federation, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

The Program of cooperation of Ukraine with the Customs Union member-countries that was approved at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers by a respective resolution shall facilitate that. The term of realization of the Program is planned up to 2020.

“The results we expect from realization of the Program are, first of all, increasing of bilateral trade turnover not less than by 10-15% in average, growing of the share of trade in non-primary goods and services, increasing of the amount of mutual investments in average not less than by 15% and further growth of output by enterprises with mutual investments,” the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Ihor Prasolov noted on commenting the approved by the Government decision.

According to the head of the Ministry, the Program is aimed at deepening of economic integration targeting to achieve high speed of economic growth, raise competitiveness, improve the investment climate and investment attractiveness, the level and quality of life of the population, their social protection taking into account objective interests of Ukraine and member-countries of the Customs Union.

“The Program envisages cooperation of Ukraine with the member-countries of the Customs Union along the following directions: trade and economic relations, fuel and energy complex, transport, agro-industrial complex, space area, technical regulation, development of innovations and scientific researches, transborder and interregional cooperation,” Ihor Prasolov said.

The Minister has added that an integral part of the Program is its action plan which determines responsible central executive authorities and fixes definite terms of implementation of these measures in all cooperation directions.

The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On approving the Program of cooperation of Ukraine with member-states of the Customs Union – Belarus, Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation up to 2020” was prepared n implementation of the National Action Plan concerning introducing of the Program of economic reforms for 2010-2014 “Wealthy society, competitive economics, effective country”.

The Prime Minister commissioned the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade to finalize the approved resolution in the fixed terms.
