OREANDA-NEWS. Gazpromneft Aero, the operator of Gazprom Neft's aviation fuel business, has closed the transaction for acquisition of a 100 percent ownership stake in OOO Airport Fuel Supply, the fuel facility located at Orsk International Airport.

This is Gazpromneft Aero's second asset in Orenburg Oblast. The company has already been refueling aircraft at Orenburg's military airbase.

The company's plans for the future include expanding its operations at airports in the Ural and Volga regions by developing partner relations with airlines and introducing international aviation fuel supply standards.

“Gazpromneft Aero's development strategy involves the expansion of business at Russian airports located within trans-Siberian air corridors running from Europe to Asia,” commented Gazpromneft Aero CEO Vladimir Yegorov. "By making significant investments in the development of our new assets, and, in particular, the fuel facility in Orsk, we are creating modern infrastructure and thereby facilitating the airport's development and expansion of its route network and attracting new airlines. Direct supply from Gazprom Neft's Omsk Oil Refinery makes it possible for us to do business with airlines efficiently and provide the best price formation terms.
