OREANDA-NEWS. January 22, 2014. International Launch Services (ILS) and Eutelsat Communications (NYSE Euronext Paris: ETL), one of the world’s leading satellite operators, announced that the EUTELSAT 9B satellite would be launched by an ILS Proton launch vehicle in 2015.

 Since 2000, the Proton launch vehicle has successfully delivered into orbit 7 Eutelsat’s satellites.  
 
ILS was incorporated in the United States in 1995. Today, the company is head-quartered in Reston, VA. ILS has the exclusive rights for world-wide marketing of the Russian heavy-lift Proton launch vehicle. Since May 2008, the company’s majority stock is owned by the  Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center, Moscow, Russia, the designer and manufacturer of the Proton LV and the Breeze M Upper Stage.
