OREANDA-NEWS. On January 17, VSMPO was visited by Neil Semple, British Consul General for Yekaterinburg. The agenda of his visit in Verkhnaya Salda included the Company's museum and the tour of the main shops of the plant.

“I wanted to get acquainted with your enterprise for a long time, - it is in partnership with such British companies as Airbus, Bombardier, Rolls-Royce,” - the Consul commented on the objective of his visit to Verkhnaya Salda.

Apart from historical data on titanium production development in the Ural region, the diplomat was also informed of the capacities of value-added products output as well as of the perspectives of production increase in the near future and the scale of the reconstruction. Upon his request, Mr. Semple was given a presentation of a Special Economic Zone “Titanium Valley”.

“Having visited the large shops of the plant, I can say that I am deeply impressed by the level of VSMPO technological development, as well as by the large volume of investments made by the Company in its development. It was interesting for me to know the details of “Titanium Valley” project. And, of course, we are going to tell the British businessmen about the possibilities of production facilities location on the territory of “Titanium Valley”, the preferences of the Special Economic Zone and VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation's capacities,” - the Consul said during his interview with VSMPO Press Service.

Nickolay Melnikov, Vice Director General - VSMPO-AVISMA Executive Director, when receiving the distinguished guest, presented Neil Semple accompanied by Svetlana Bystritskaya, Senior Trade and Investment Adviser, with souvenirs as an expression of respect and willingness to develop further collaboration.
