OREANDA-NEWS. January 27, 2014. European Business Association (EBA) published a list of companies that joined the Code of Conduct of Car Manufacturers and Distributors on the market of sales of new cars and spare parts to them.

The Code of Conduct was drafted and implemented by EBA together with the Federal Antimonopoly Service in 2013. The main objective of the Code is to establish transparent, non-discriminatory rules that regulate relations between car manufacturers and distributors with dealers and independent service stations.

FAS believes that the next stage of market self-regulation and efficient execution of the Code principles must be establishing a body of pre-court examination of disputes.

As of 15th January 2014, according to EBA, the Code was signed by the following car manufacturers and distributors: “Сhrysler Russia”, “FordSollers Holding”, “General Motors”, “Hyundai Motor”, “Honda Motor Rus”, “Jaguar Land Rover”, “Kia Motor Rus”, “Mazda Motor Rus”, “MMC Rus LLC”, “Nissan Manufacturing Rus”, “Porsche Russland”, “Renault Russia”, “Subaru Motor”, “Suzuki Motor RUS”, “Toyota Motor”, and “Volkswagen Group Rus”.

FAS hopes that in the near future the Code would be signed by the majority of car manufacturers and distributors represented in the Russian Federation.
