OREANDA-NEWS. The Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO is pleased to announce that the second class of the SKOLKOVO Practicum for Directors has started. It is an intensive programme for ambitious managers of small and medium-sized businesses who need to organize their knowledge and establish their own model of company management.

The new class comprises 35 participants from Russia (Moscow and Moscow region, Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnoyarsk, Kyzyl) and CIS (Almaty, Kazakhstan; Kiev, Ukraine).

The average management experience of the class is 8 years. The participants are managers of small and medium-sized companies from different industries: FMCG, manufacturing and trade, construction, transport sector, high technology and so on.

On admission to the programme, the members of the new group set the following management tasks meaning to work at them throughout the training: building and improving their business model, managing systems and strategies and opening new lines of business.

“As the second group of Practicum gets to start, we are noticing a growing interest in the programme expressed in the regions and by mid-sized industrial companies. This is good: it means that we have companies who understand the need for their own development, want to scale their business and achieve operational efficiency. This might be a just a dawning trend, but it is positive,” - said Dean of the SKOLKOVO business school Andrey Sharonov.

The first day of training was structured with the purpose to familiarize the participants with each other and to promote team building. After the customary greetings, the group had Dialogue in the Dark personal growth workshop, which allowed the participants to make a connection and learn to interact in precarious situations.

The day ended with a meeting with Gor Nakhapetyan who stood at the cradle of the SKOLKOVO business school.

Four activity-packed modules lie ahead: seminars, workshops, business games, practical project work, meeting the key figures of Russian business and other prominent people, and even more. Upon completing the training, the participants will take the final step - they will defend their projects in front of the school's expert panel.
