OREANDA-NEWS. Belarusian distillery Belalco, based in Brest, increased exports 81% year on year in 2013 to 5.941 million decaliters, a source in the administration of the company told.

Vodka and hard drink exports expanded by 110% to 285,000 dal, while starch shipments reduced by 44% to 156,000 tonnes, pure alcohol - 64,000 dal, down 16.3%.

The company exports its products to New Zealand, Ukraine, Vietnam, the Baltic States, Germany, Kazakhstan, Poland, Bulgaria, Turkmenistan, Moldova, China, Azerbaijan.

Vodka output remained on a par with the 2012 level at 1.961 million decaliters; brandy - down 8.1% to 22,400 dal; rectified alcohol - up 1.5% to 1.256 million dal.

At the same time, Belalco's inventories stood at 71.6% of the average monthly output as of January 1, 2014.

The Brest-based distillery (currently Belalco) was established in 1897. It is capable of making about 1.5 million decaliters of hard drinks a year.
