OREANDA-NEWS. January 31, 2014. The new services to be launched have been introduced at a joint sitting of representatives of public agencies, donor associations and the business community of Moldova held to discuss priorities of the Strategic program of governance technical modernization for 2014.

According to CEO of the Centre of E-Governance Stela Mocan, the government is going to make use of digital technologies to make relations between the business community and public agencies more comfortable and efficient. In 2014 the government is going to launch such e-services as the digital income statement filing (February 2014), e-registry of state inspections (March 2014), the issuing of transportation e-permits (July 2014) and water consumption e-permits (July 2014).

The e-customs clearance service has already been launched as a pilot project. In 2014, digitalization of other services is expected, including the National Food Safety Agency management system for supervision of imports and exports; the information system for real estate sale/purchase registration; the system of public procurement.

This year will see creation of the information system to issue trade authorizations single contact points. According to Premier Iurie Leanca, the government hopes the business to be open to the process of e-conversion of the government services which will help make the communication between authorities and the business more efficient and exclude risks of corruption. Proposals made by the businessmen that took part in the sitting will be taken into account and made use of. Authorities of Moldova started building a communication platform to simplify exchange with information among public agencies and promote high-quality public services, including their digital variants.

They have offered businessmen a whole range of e-services, such as those concerning taxation and licensing. In early 2013 the government of Moldova launched digital versions of services delivered by the National Healthcare Insurance Company and the National Fund of Social Insurance. They also have had-governance platforms launched: Mpay, Mpass, MCloud, e- signature. All these platforms have been developed to render Moldovans e-services in various areas. These services may be used by the private sector to promote digital conversion of the national economy.
