OREANDA-NEWS. February 03, 2014. The Moldovan Chamber of Commerce (CCI) and Industry and Economic Chamber of Macedonia will enhance cooperation. The heads of the two institutions voiced this intention at a meeting in Chisinau.

The event took place in the context of the 13th issue of the “Made in Moldova” national exhibition, organised by CCI, the Chamber’s press service has reported.

CCI Head Gheorghe Cucu informed his Macedonian counterpart Branko Azeski about investment opportunities and chamber system in Moldova. "Our organisations have been cooperating for more years within joint international projects we are implementing. At the same time, we want to expand our partnership in other sectors too, organise together business visits, thus contributing to boost trade exchanges between our countries," Cucu said.

For his part, Branko Azeski presented the economic situation in Macedonia, highlighting that 72 per cent of the exports were directed to the European Union market. "Greece, Germany and Austria are among the main partners of Macedonia. We export especially metal, and import gas, petroleum products. We also want to enhance the trade ties with Moldova. Therefore, I invite businesspeople to visit Macedonia," Azeski said.

As the biggest representatives of economic agents from the two states, the Moldovan and Macedonian Chambers agreed on developing their partnership.
