OREANDA-NEWS. February 05, 2014. SORAINEN is advising the largest fast-food chain operator in Finland and Latvia – Hesburger. In 2013, Hesburger opened three new restaurants in Latvia – in Valmiera, Jelgava and Rezekne – and acquired the leases of several new properties with the aim of developing them into restaurants.

SORAINEN consulted on various lease and purchase agreements, as well as design and construction issues, including the division of risks and responsibilities between parties and specific provisions for long-term development. SORAINEN lawyers also advised the client on tax and intellectual property matters and performed a transfer pricing analysis for Hesburger group transactions within the Baltic region.

The client is being advised by a team led by partner Girts Ruda and senior associate Lelde Lavina.
