“The last exhibition year may be regarded as successful for Iteca: such shows as KIHE, KazBuild and MiningWorldCentralAsia showed a sustainable growth by 30%. The total exhibition space of all events has increased by 3,312 sq. m”, explains Yury Borodikhin, Director of the company. Of note is the fact that the analysis of trade and economic relations between Kazakhstan and other countries showed the need in enhancing the work to attract companies from Hungary, Austria, Ukraine, Lithuania, India and other countries to participation in building exhibitions (based on review data from statistical tables of Kazakhstan's state bodies at year-end 2013). Thus, according to construction industry nomenclatures, trade and economic turnover (TET) between Kazakhstan and Hungary in 2012 accounted to USD 10,380,000. However, no companies from Hungary participated in any of the building exhibitions of Kazakhstan. Same with Austria, with TET of USD 18,299,000 yet no exhibitors from this country present at KazBuild & AquaTherm Almaty 2013 or other Kazakhstan building exhibitions, Ukraine (a TET of USD 49,260,000 and only 3 exhibitors at KazBuild 2013 and KCM2013), Lithuania (USD 6,197,000, no exhibitors) and India (USD 8,288,000, one exhibitor at KazBuild 2013). It should be noted that this picture is based only on nomenclatures of customs bodies of the RK for the construction industry.

“The data on trade and economic turnovers between Kazakhstan and other countries are very meaningful. Statistical information brings to light the overall picture of the existing market situation. We conclude that we need to enhance our work to provide more foreign participation in our exhibitions”, summarized Yury Borodikhin.
