OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' output of all mineral fertilizers declined 9.9% on the year in January-December 2013 to 5.279 million tonnes, a representative of Belarus' Statistics Committee told.

The output of potash fertilizers declined 12.2% on the year in January-December to 4.243 million tonnes, of nitrogen fertilizers went down 2.3% to 833,100 tonnes, and the production of phosphate fertilizers went down 4.5% to 203,400 tonnes in the period.

Chemical fibre and filament production reduced 9.8% to 215,600 tonnes.

Combined output of Belarus' chemical and petrochemical industry went down 17.8% on the year in January-December 2013 to 47.023 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) in monetary terms (USD 4.898 billion at the NBB rate).

Inventories of chemical and petrochemical companies were at 53.1% of the average monthly output, or 1.895 trillion rubles (USD 197.448 million).

Mineral fertilizer inventories reduced by 54.3% on the month as of January 1, 2014, up to 14,800 tonnes.
