OREANDA-NEWS. Maltsovsky Portlandcement, which is part of EUROCEMENT Group, demonstrated steady growth in all its performance indicators in 2013. Cement production amounted to 3,607,416 tonnes, which was 16.7% higher than the equivalent figure in 2012. Production of clinker (a semi-finished product used in cement manufacturing) increased by 2.9% compared with the level in 2012, and amounted to 3,215,032 tonnes.

In 2013 the company delivered 3,569,832 tonnes of cement to its customers, exceeding the equivalent figure for 2012 by 14.2%. The amount of containerized cement delivered to customers grew by 13.2% and stood at 304,314 tonnes. In 2013, 68% of the cement was delivered to various construction sites in the Moscow region - Maltsovsky Portlandcement was the biggest supplier in the market in Moscow.

The amount of cement delivered by road increased by more than one-and-a-half times - in 2013 it reached 837,605 tonnes, which was 23.5% of the total volume delivered. 2,732,227 tonnes of cement (76.5%) was delivered to consumers by rail.

The amount of PC 500-D0-N cement, a cement used on roads and aerodrome surfaces, grew by 35% and stood at 787,283.6 tonnes. Output of CEM I 42.5 N cement increased by 10% (to 1,573,948.5 tonnes). In total, these high-grade cements, which are produced using a closed-loop cement grinding circuit, accounted for 66% of the total range of products delivered by the company.

Production staff at Maltsovskoe Karieroupravlenie enjoyed a successful year in 2013 as well. They extracted 5,577,292 tonnes of chalk and 1,314,592 tonnes of clay, thereby exceeding the equivalent figures for 2012 by 2% and 5.3% respectively.
