The volume of Moldovan exports in 2013 totaled USD 2 billion 399 million, up 11% as compared to 2012, and the volume of imports grew by 5.4% - up to USD 5 billion 492,7 million. According to NBS, exports of domestic goods in 2013 amounted to USD 1 billion 617,3 million (67.4% of the total), up 16.4% in comparison with 2012.

Re-export of goods in 2013 amounted to USD 781,7 million, or 32.6% of the total export volume. As compared to 2012, re-export of goods in 2013 increased by 1.2%. Moldovan exports to CIS countries in 2013 made up USD 924 million, decreasing by 0.4% in comparison with 2012.

Deliveries to EU countries increased by 12.5% - up to USD 1 billion 140,9 million, to other states by 52% - up to USD to 334.1 million. The share of CIS countries in the total volume of Moldavian export has decreased from 42.9% up to 38.5%, and the share of EU countries grew from 46.9% to 47.6%. The share of other countries increased from 10.2% to 13.9%. According to the NBS data, in 2013, Moldova increased import from the CIS countries by 3% - up to USD 1 billion 671,9 million, from EU - by 6.6% - to USD 2 billion 472,8 million, from other states - by 6.2% - up to USD 1 billion 348 million.

The share of CIS countries in the total Moldovan imports decreased from 31.2% to 30.4%, the share of EU countries grew from 44.5% to 45%, and the share of other states from 24.3% to 24.6%.
