OREANDA-NEWS. February 17, 2014. In the framework of the International Tourist Fair “The Crimea. Resorts. Tourism 2014” there will be held a meeting of the working group on cooperation in tourism of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) with an aim to consider the issues of development of the tourist area, including certain kinds of tourism – recreational, culture and others. 

“Tourism is one of the bridges uniting the countries, cultures and people. Tourism is one of the points of economic growth, an important component of an image and the level of development of the country. Ukraine is being opened to the world with its new facets. It concerns unique nature opportunities, history, tradition, hospitality of Ukrainians,” the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Olexandr Vilkul said.

Apart from the current issues of the meeting of the panel for tourism the Ukrainian party will represent the vision of the project in the BSEC framework “Development of cruise tourism in the Black Sea region”. Moreover, it is planned the report and presentation by a representative of the Administration of Black Sea ports of Ukraine to the topic “Development of cruise tourism”.

Through February 25-27, Yalta Intourist hotel will host the XXIII International tourist fair “The Crimea. Resorts. Tourism 2014”. Main topic of the fair is event and activity tourism.

One of the central events of the fair will become the III International Black Sea Tourist Forum. This year it will be devoted to the issues of creating of joint tourist products of the Black Sea for the tourists from China, Japan, South Korea, Canada and the USA. Leaders of tourist administrations of the Black Sea region countries (Georgia, Turkey, Russia, Bulgaria, Romania) and the largest tourist companies of China, Japan, the USA, Canada and South Korea have been invited to participate in the forum.

“The Crimea is a bright pearl of the tourist Ukraine. This region is traditionally popular with Ukrainians and our foreign guests. The Government of Ukraine takes measures for all the regions of the country to determine with their tourist differentiation. I am pleased to stress that leaders of the Crimea strive to decrease an impact of a season factor targeting to ensure comprehensive activity of tourist area and resorts on the peninsula during the whole year,” the chief of the State Agency of Ukraine for Tourism and Resorts Olena Shapovalova said.

There will be represented over 540 exhibitors at the fair with general amount of participants around 14.5 thousand persons.

Besides, it is planned holding of a series of roundtables, master-classes and presentations. Among them are roundtables for categorization of objects of tourist infrastructure, development of medical tourism, drawing of investments from Europe and financial instruments into modernization of health resorts and infrastructure objects. Apart from that, there will be held the III International forum of IT technologies in tourism.
