OREANDA-NEWS. February 18, 2014. The oil and gas output of the major Tarim Oilfield in far-west China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region reached 23.66 million tonnes of oil equivalent (TOE) in 2013, according to data released by the company, Xinhua has reported.

The figure marked a 10.4-percent year-on-year increase, as well as the seventh consecutive year in which PetroChina Tarim Oilfield Company, a subsidiary of China's largest oil and gas producer PetroChina, has produced more than 20 million TOE a year.

By mid-January, the company had produced a total of 100 million tonnes of crude oil. Its newly added crude and natural gas production capacity reached 941,000 tonnes and 3.79 billion cubic meters respectively last year.
