OREANDA-NEWS. Aeroflot has been ranked among five most punctual airlines in Europe as the result of the final selection for the 5th Annual Airline On-time Performance Service Award established by a prestigious aviation data resource Flightstats. The award is given for the best on time performance indicators in a series of operational and regional categories.

The US-based www.flightstats.com <http://www.flightstats.com> published statistics on flight performance of world's most significant carriers in 2013. According to this data, 82.71% of Aeroflot flights arrived on time. This indicator let Russia's leading carrier to rank fifth in the Europe Major Airlines category.

This category is comprised of the top 10 leading European carriers that operated about 2 million flights in 2013. A threshold was at least 90% of flights reliably tracked for an airline to be included in the rating.
