OREANDA-NEWS. February 20, 2014. A meeting at participation of branch, affiliated companies and depending companies leaders took place in Kazakhtelecom JSC, within which results of work were underlined in 2013 and determined tasks to forthcoming period.

In 2013 for development and upgrade of telecommunication network company has continued its work by projects: construction of FTTH networks, implementation and building of communication network of 4G LTE stamdard, development of main network, construction of rural network WLL CDMA 450, implementing of IP TV, upgrade and development of local networks.

Transit potential of main network have got an active development: total capacity of international joints with neighboring states was increased to 671 Gbit /s, bandwidth of main DWDM main network was expanded, 120km of main FOCL networks was built. Besides, Kazakhtelecom JSC and GKE Turkmentelecom networks was organized. Jointly with Megafon OJSC an international project on organization of speed data transfer between Europe and South East Asia was launched, that was called as DREAM.

Work on implementing wireless internet access of 4G LTE continued. In 2013 network was expanded in Aktau, Aktobe, Atyrau, Karaganda, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Shymkent, Zhezkazgan, Temirtau, extended in Almaty, Astana and its towns. In other oblast centers pilot zones were organized. Registered about 110 000 subscribers.

In result of completion of III stage of strategic project "Construction of FTTH Kazakhtelecom networks, included to Industrialization map of RK, fiber-optic networks covered about 15,5 thousand multi flats houses and over 7 300 cottages. Last year results of work on development of IP TV, expanded in Astana and Almaty and all oblast centers, to the end of the year network capacity composed over 246 thousand connection points.

Network digitization level composed 98,19%. About1 750 km of zonal fiber-optic communication lines were built in Akmola, East Kazakhstan, Wets Kazakhstan, Kostanai, Karaganda, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan and South Kazakhstan oblasts. Further upgrade and development of rural communication CDMA/EVDO allowed covering internet access over 3 700 rural settlements (RS).

In 2013 some measures on changing rates to telecommunications services took place. Thus, on subscribers’ segment monthly users’ charge Megaline Hit Optima and Megaline Light Optima reduced to 10 % and collective internet access services to 5%. Also to 70 %  was reduced monthly fee to broadband internet access services for ISP-providers, to 70% to PD services for non-residents. Besides, without changing monthly fee, some consumers’ characteristics were improved.

Due to the data of preliminary financial statements for 12 months 2013, consolidated incomes from realization of Kazakhtelecom services  composed 190 743 313 thousand tenge, net profit composed 19 688 209 thousand tenge.

Within the meeting some issues to 2014 were put before leaders of branches, affiliated and depending companies, among which, a task on improving subscribers’ service quality was especially covered.
