OREANDA-NEWS. February 20, 2014. Coal output in China's Yunnan province climbed 5.2% year on year to 105 million metric tons in 2013, sources reported.

The province's commercial coal sales rose 7.1% year on year to 120 million metric tons in the period.

Coal sales to enterprises outside the province increased by 20.9% year on year to 20.46 million metric tons from Jan to Dec.

The coal industry in the province recorded a gross output of RMB 73.6 billion in the year, reflecting a growth of 14.2% year on year. The industry's value added output increased 1.5% to RMB 30.9 billion.

At the end of Oct, the province's coal inventory had increased 84.1% from a year earlier to 2.92 million metric tons.
